Two roads carry almost every trip out of here.

US-90, the Crosby Freeway, heads southwest toward Beltway 8 and on to the 610 Loop. FM 2100 is the local spine, running north toward Huffman and the lake and south toward I-10 near Channelview and Baytown. Inbound US-90 slows on weekday mornings as it nears the Beltway, and FM 2100 has rail crossings in town where a long freight will hold traffic for several minutes with no warning at all.

A great deal of Crosby is country property: houses set well back, gravel or dirt drives, cattle gates, culverts over roadside ditches. FM 1960 crosses Lake Houston on a long bridge between Huffman and Atascocita, which means friends in Atascocita, Kingwood and Humble can share a bus with a Crosby group without much of a detour. Order the pickups sensibly: start at the farthest house and finish at whichever one is closest to the freeway.
